Alisa Apreleva is a Russian American singer, composer and multiinstrumentalist. Her music is rooted in a wide variety of genres: from authentic Eastern Slavic folklore to medieval to jazz to rock to film and chamber music. Alisa uses voice and an array of acoustic instruments (cellos, harp, accordion, lap harps, hang drum, piano, ethnic drums), along with looping and electronic processing, creating the universe of joy and color, best described as "acoustic ambient". When not performing, Alisa advocates for music therapy in USA and internationally and coaches students at Berklee College of Music.
